Beatrice J. Tiangco, MD

Dr. Tiangco is a Medical Oncologist and Malignant Hematologist in Metro Manila, Philippines. Currently she serves as Section Chief of Medical Oncology in the Department of Internal Medicine at The Medical City in Pasig City, as well as Assistant Director in The Medical City Cancer Center. Dr. Tiangco is also Section Chief of Medical Oncology at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute in Quezon City, Philippines. She received her Doctor of Medicine from UP College of Medicine in Manila, Philippines and performed her residency in Internal Medicine at UP-Philippine General Hospital.
Dr. Tiangco then went to the U.S. for a Fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, followed by a Fellowship in Blood Banking, Transfusion and Coagulation Medicine at the Institute for Transfusion Medicine in Pittsburgh. After this she returned to Manila for her Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of the Philippines.
Dr. Tiangco’s professional memberships include: Fellow, Philippine Society of Hematology and Blood Transfusion; Past President, Philippine Society of Medical Oncology; Fellow, Philippine College of Physicians; Lifetime Member, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society; and Lifetime Member, Society for Participatory Medicine. She is the Project Leader and Co-founder of the Cleofe M. Bacungan Servant Leadership Endowment Fund (CMBSLEF), a project to identify and mentor Servant Leaders in the Student Body of the Philippine Science High School System.
Dr. Tiangco also created the Cancer Registry (CARE) Philippines, a Philippine Organization/Web-based Application—Nationwide Hospital-Based Cancer Registry System which encourages Patient Participation in the maintenance of their own Cancer Database.
